Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable and passionate Viticulture Expert to join our team as part of a RFP bidding process. This role involves applying knowledge and practical expertise in vineyard and wineries management to support the development of an information system focused on vineyards and wineries. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in viticulture, wineries & vineyards operations, to contribute to innovative solutions. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence the future of winery/vineyards operations and management.

Duties

• Conduct research on current information systems used in vineyards and wineries management and operations (in Canada and internationally)
• Advise on best practices for vineyard and wineries management and viticulture best practices in general
• Collaborate with product development teams to innovate on solutions to improve wineries/vineyard management and operations
• Advise on best practices on maintain detailed records of viticultural operations
• Stay current with industry trends, scientific advancements, and regulatory standards in viticulture and enology
• Provide expert recommendations for sustainable vineyard practices that enhance wineries/vineyards operations and environmental stewardship
• Possibility of international travel or ability to work across different timezones

Skills

• Proven experience in the food industry or viticulture with a focus on grape growing or wine production, vineyards and wineries operations and management
• Proficiency in data collection methods and data analysis skills to support decision-making processes
• Excellent analysis skills for evaluating vineyard conditions, soil health, and product quality
• Ability to communicate scientific findings clearly to both technical teams and stakeholders
• Familiarity with product development processes within the beverage or food sectors is a plus
• Passion for sustainable agriculture practices and innovation in viticulture techniques
